India is a dream destination for many yogis and travellers. If you’ve been curious about the birthplace of yoga and meditation but nervous to go on this adventure alone, join us for the Master Your Mind Kundalini Yoga Immersion in India and travel with the security of friends you haven’t yet met.
This trip has been long anticipated by Gloria’s students.
Space is limited and will fill quickly.
Should you feel called to take this journey with us you will experience the mythical and the magical elements of India, and an immersive experience of Kundalini Yoga. You will visit sites where hundreds of thousands have journeyed before us honouring this ancient tradition. Getting lost in the captivating places of India, can lead you to rediscover yourself.
If you're looking for meditative inspiration, India is the source.
The Master Your Mind Immersion and Yoga Teacher Training, is an all-levels course that accesses an intelligence beyond your mind using a unique form of Kundalini Yoga. This yoga will shift your mental and emotional state to take you from self-sabotage to self-mastery.
During our time together you will learn how to bring your mind under your conscious control, silence voices in your head that aren’t even yours, and access the only voice you need to listen to – the voice of your soul. You will reach a heightened state of awareness that will give you the clarity and strength you need for change.
The Master Your Mind Immersion is for students new to yoga as well as those who have been practicing or teaching yoga for years who have yet to experience the transformative power of yoga.
There are four core components to this course: breathwork, strong physical practices (that are also accessible), meditation, and guided self-inquiry.
These work together to create accelerated change on a physical, mental and spiritual level.
Like so many students I know, I struggled for years before I was able to make meditation a regular part of my life. The benefits of meditation are too powerful to ignore any longer. I want you to experience the impact of meditation on your life too.
Although this course is not designed specifically for yoga teachers, it is eligible for course credits. You can combine this training with online and future destination trainings to complete your 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certificate or build towards your 500 Hour Certification.
RAJASTHAN
The intensity and spectrum of colour in Rajasthan is impossible to ignore. A world of colour, and splendour awaits you in India’s largest and most romantic state. The rainbow of colors from emerald green and canary yellow saris to fire-engine red turbans is dazzling.
Rajasthan is a land of maharajas and maharanis, medieval forts, palaces and tigers, camels and deserts, colorful art and unique traditions. Rajasthan really is the jewel in India’s crown. It is a place where stunning handicrafts and fine arts were developed and nurtured through patronage by the maharajas.
Rajasthan is literally the Land of the Kings. It is home to the chivalrous Rajputs and Mughal emperors, and is a place ingrained with pride and tradition. This medieval society built magnificent palaces and forts, many of which are now sumptuous hotels and impressive museums. Carved marble and stone fountains and coloured glass can be found throughout the architecture of the city.
Village life remains steeped in tradition and turbaned men still barter for decorated camels here.
The wild desert scenery, ancient sandcastle forts, pastel-coloured cities and dust-speckled light create a picturesque atmosphere, unique to this amazing part of the world.
During our 10 days together, you will visit Jodhpur, Pushkar and Jaipur. To make you feel like a Maharaja or a Maharani, you will not only visit but also stay and eat at some of the palaces and locations steeped in history.
Markets and Handicrafts
Rajasthan, with a tradition of patronage in the arts is known for its high-quality handicrafts. You’ll have the opportunity to check out the splendid textiles designed by hand using wooden blocks, traditional jewellery and jewellery boxes, and the very traditional Mojris, or Rajasthani leather slippers.
The state is famous for its blue pottery, made with quartz and influenced by past Persian artistic styles. Kites are big in Rajasthan, and you will find them in the markets, especially in Jaipur.
This is the capital and gateway to Rajasthan, and once you've slept in a palace, explored a medieval fort or swayed on a camel, you'll want to experience more. Delve deeper to discover markets bursting with every colour of the rainbow.
This is known as the "pink city" because of its blush-coloured buildings. Jaipur's best-known sights include a 300-year-old observatory, the 18th-century City Palace and the spectacular façade of the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds.
Pushkar means lotus flower and it is a town that borders the Thar Desert. It is set on Pushkar Lake, one of the most holy sites for Hindus. It is said to have been created by Lord Brahma and is a place of pilgrimage. The lake is surrounded by 52 different Ghats, or series of steps, which Hindus use to descend to the lake for ritual bathing. The town has hundreds of temples and it is also visited for the exciting camel safaris in the desert sand dunes.
Jodhpur is a city tinged with the color indigo. Here the majestic Meherangarh Fort sits high on a cliff top with spectacular views looking down over the city. A visit to the clock tower allows you to experience the bustle of India while you search for perfumes, decorative arts, essential oils, teas and spices. You can stroll around the city’s blue streets, exploring its charming shops and cafes. The outskirts of Jodhpur are known for its Jain and Hindu temples, also home to Camel Camps. You can join us for a camel ride through the dunes and share tales around a campfire. Jodhpur is the gateway to the Thar Desert where villages are home to the desert dwellers, the Bishnoi and Bhil.
Most importantly you will develop a personal sadhana, a daily practice, that will be the foundation for the healthy and fulfilling life you’ve been wanting for a long time now.
