What is the Semperviva Yoga Challenge? The Semperviva Yoga Challenge is a commitment to attend yoga classes for 40 consecutive days. Why 40 days? Yogic science confirms that it takes 40 days to fully develop a new life-promoting habit or to drop a current destructive habit. The Semperviva Challenge is a great way to strengthen the body, unburden the mind, and begin a daily commitment to yourself. In 40 days, you can create a whole new way of being. Why should I take the Semperviva Challenge? This is an opportunity to transform your life. Through this program, you will experience increased strength improved flexibility possible weight loss definite stress reduction improved focus a better body image improved sleep patterns improved eating habits Transformation is just a few yoga classes away! This program will challenge your personal philosophy about your body and its abilities. It will teach you how to tap into the deepest resources of strength and vitality within you. Helpful hints: Daily journaling Try different styles of yoga. We offer a tremendous range of styles of yoga. You can choose a class that is strong and athletic, or one that is more relaxed based on how you're feeling bring a friend or two along; support each other on the journey make time for yourself This is how it works: 1. Register online through this rsvp or at the front desk at any Semperviva location. Joining the Challenge is FREE but we like to know who's on the team! 2. Come to a Semperviva yoga class every day from October 30th-December 8th If you are new to yoga, don't worry. We will show you how to progress safely. We challenge you to take at least 30 classes within 40 days; 40 classes is fantastic but 30 classes is also amazing! Your Chance To Win: Students who complete 40 classes within 40 days are entered to our draw for the chance to win one of the following three prizes: 1st prize: 6 months of unlimited yoga at Semperviva Yoga 2nd prize: Participation in Shiva Rea's Master Teacher Workshop in December 2010 3rd prize: One Jade Yoga Mat Contest rules and regulations FAQs 1. What if I go out of town? Please bring a receipt from a class attended out of town. 2. Can I take more than one class in a day? It is best to develop the consistency and commitment of doing one class daily. If you do take more than one class, we will count it towards your 40 class total but please consider that developing a daily practice is far more beneficial. 3. What else will Semperviva give me? The Semperviva Yoga Challenge team will have 2 team gatherings. Meet on October 30th at 4:00pm at Semperviva City Studio to kick off our challenge with a class that will introduce you to all styles of yoga taught at Semperviva. We will follow with an Open House providing healthy treats. On November 18th, day 20 of our challenge, we offer an optional meet up at Kits Beach Studio, starting at 8.45pm, for a Semperviva Signature All-Styles class to celebrate the successful completion of the first half of our 40 Day Yoga Challenge. Our challenge ends December 8th at Semperviva Kits Beach Studio with another special class. Class time is scheduled for 8:45pm.
