Believes
I believe that we are so much stronger than we think we are.
I believe that chocolate is therapeutic, and completely essential if you live in a grey city like Vancouver.
I gave up coffee for a full year and I’ll never do it again. Cafes are essential to a community. The farthest I could live from a good café is a twenty minute walk.
I think the old and young should never be isolated from each other.
I believe the sun and the ocean are therapeutic. I would love to swim every day if I could.
The only people that are ever 100% honest with you are the very young.
I believe we’ve become neurotic about how we eat. When you’re hungry eat, when you’re full stop. Don’t eat because the clock says its 12:00pm or 6:00pm.
I believe that we should adopt the European model of one month holidays each year. Anything less, is just enough time to do the laundry and clean the house before heading back to work.
I believe in shopping in my neighbourhood. I get lost in big box stores, and I’m terrified of malls (ask my children, they laugh at me).
I don’t believe in retirement. This man is completely in his zone, and aging so gracefully. He can be found at the seaside village where we host our retreats, day after day, mending nets.
